Look for a new selection of nonfiction books next week. The new books arrived this afternoon, and will be ready for circulation beginning early next week. Some of the titles include 2013 summer reading selections, such as The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollen and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, and others are books that have been recognized as outstanding works for young adults, including The Notorious Benedict Arnold: A true story of adventure, heroism, and treachery by Steve Sheinkin, Steve Jobs: The man who thought different by Karen Blumenthal, Bootleg: murder, moonshine, and the lawless years of prohibition by Karen Blumenthal, Claudette Colvine: twice toward justice by Philip Hoose, and Master of deceit: J. Edgar Hoover and America in the age of lies by Marc Aronson.

Last week, while students and staff alike were re-adjusting to being back at school, getting to know each other, and sorting out class schedules, the library received a large order of new fiction and graphic novels. Some highlights including:

• Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz, winner of the Stonewall Book Award, the Pura Belpré Award, and the Printz Honor for excellence in young adult literature.
  
• In darkness by Nick Lake, the 2013 winner of the Printz Award and Where things come back by John Corey Whaley, the 2012 Printz Award winner.
• John Green's best-selling (and soon to be a movie) The fault in our stars.
• Flight, an award-winning graphic novel anthology series.
